UPGRADE INSTRUCTIONS

WARNING !!!
You MUST have the .NET Framework 1.1
installed in order to run the latest
updates in the link below.
Download .NET Framework 1.1 here.

Install
the .NET Framework 1.1 |
| 2. |
Stop all 5 MailMax 5.5 Services |
| 3. |
Make
sure you close the Admin Tool |
| 4. |
Make
a Backup of the directory that MailMax
is currently installed (by default
it is MailMax5) |
| 5. |
Overwrite
the old files in the root MailMax5
directory with the new files enclosed
in the .zip file: DOWNLOAD

| Upgrade
to MailMax 5.5 From a Previous Version |
 |
Due to changes in the database structure in 5.5,
some configurations will not be automatically
setup during the upgrade: rules, site bans, spam
traps, user aliases, user forwards, auto-responders,
catchall accounts, mmmonitor accounts and open
relay lists.
Activating
your MailMax 5.5 Demo
•
How
do I activate my MailMax 5.5 Demo to the full
working version?
MailMax
5.0 to 5.5
IMPORTANT:
If you are updating MailMax 5.0 to 5.5 on the
same machine, you DO
NOT need a new registration key. If you
install MailMax 5.5 on a separate machine,
your 5.0 key will NOT work and
you will need to call 918.388.5900 to request
a new key.
To upgrade from MailMax 5.0 to 5.5, simply run
one of the executables below. Upon completion,
reboot your system.
Note: We recommend that you
backup your current database before upgrading.
