The MailMax Admin (GUI) communicates with the server via TCP/IP, thus letting you run the GUI from any workstation, anywhere. If you want to install the MailMax Admin on another workstation, you just need to drag MailMax Admin.exe to the other server and connect to DataMax by adding a new connection.

Benefit: Ability to make immediate changes to the server from anywhere.
 
You can monitor real-time server activity via the MailMax Admin Tool (GUI).

There are two methods in which you can watch server activity:

1. Real-Time / Live Spy Mode

You have the ability to spy on the SMTPMax, POPMax, QueueMax and the IMAPMax Services in REAL TIME and even save the individual logs to a text file whenever you need to. For example, you can spy on QueueMax to track down an issue you are having with sending email to a particular domain. Using the live spy mode allows you to track down issues much quicker without sifting through a large text file with logging you don't need to see.

2. Save logging to a text file

You also have the option to save all logs to a text file. Each Service has its own directory that its logs are saved to for better organization. This makes the logs manageable and easy to go through. The logs can be set to update hourly, daily, weekly and even monthly.

SMTPMax logging:
1. You can track SMTP logins.
2. You can track the following events:
    a. Connections
    b. Commands Sent
    c. Errors
    d. Mail Received
  POPMax logging:
1. You can track POP logins.
2. You can track the following events:
    a. Connections
    b. Commands Sent
    c. Errors
    d. Summary Statistics
    e. Transfers
     
QueueMax logging:
1. You can track the following events:
    a. Outbound Connections
    b. Errors
    c. Retry Warnings
    d. Permanent Errors
    e. Dead Mail
    f. Transactions
  IMAPMax logging:
1. You can track IMAP logins.
2. You can track the following events:
    a. Connections
    b. Commands Sent
    c. Errors
    d. Logins
    e. Transfers

Our powerful Web Admin is included FREE of charge with MailMax 5.5. Based on ASP.NET, our new web admin allows you to setup administrators at three levels:

1. Regular User
Regular Users within a given domain can change their passwords, add an auto-responder, add advanced mailbox rules and even maintain their own forwards and aliases.

2. Domain Administrator
Domain administrators have full control over accounts and settings of their own domain. They have all of the privileges of a "regular user" plus they can add/delete users to their domain(s), send an email to all users of the domain, and even edit domain rules.

3. System Administrator
System administrators have full control over ALL accounts and settings on the MailMax server.

Benefit: Administration can easily be accessed from any web browser.
Web Admin takes the burden off you and your employees and puts the administration task into the hands of the end user.
