MailMax will only use the IP’s you specify.
This will give you the added security of not having
MailMax bind itself to unnecessary IP addresses.
Benefit: Tighter security and
more efficient use of system resources. |

Configure
each IP on the server to support only the protocols
you specify and configure each protocol to listen
on the port or ports of your choice. If you have
a customer using an ISP that filters traffic on
port 25, they can still use your SMTP server just
on a separate choice of your choosing. And best
of all you can still have port 25 answering SMTP
traffic.
Benefit: Complete control over
the ports that each IP utilizes. |
