Setup rules on a system, domain, or even user level. Users will be able to give their mailbox a dynamic behavior based upon how the rules affects their incoming mail. For example, you could specify a rule that all emails less than 10k in size received after 5:00 P.M. would be forwarded to your cell phone.

Benefit: Empower your users to automate the handling of their mail at the server level.

This will send an email to users telling them that a message was sent to them, but that it was too large to fit in their mailbox and was thus rejected. The MFN-M will contain the email address of the sender so that they can resolve the issue accordingly.

Here is how this bounceback will look in a mail client:

Bounced mail
From: MAILER-DAEMON@mydomain.com
To: mike@mydomain.com

A message was bounced due to a lack of storage space.
You have 1024 bytes total storage. You have used 1433108 bytes. The message was from: mike@smartmax.com

Benefit: Get lost emails back by requesting them again to be resent.

This will send an email to users telling them that their mailbox is near the maximum storage allocation and they need resolve the issue before they start having their emails rejected.

Here is how this warning will look like in a mail client:

Size Warning
From: MAILER-DAEMON@mydomain.com
To: mike@mydomain.com

You have less than 56320 bytes of storage space left in your mail box on our server. Please download your email to your local computer or delete some email messages stored on the server.

Benefit: Never miss another email because your mailbox is too full.

Allows you to configure MailMax to remove old mail from a user’s account or delete the user’s account entirely if it remains unused.

Benefit: Prevents orphaned accounts and old emails from cluttering the server.

Any user within a domain can be setup to receive all the email sent to accounts not valid on that domain.

Benefit: Never have the receiving of email delayed again because of an incorrect email address.

Any user within a domain can be setup to receive a copy of every email sent or received through that domain.

Benefit: Monitor your employee's email activity, or simply keep backup copies of all email for a particular domain.
