MailMax
uses a powerful industry standard SQL database.
Our public database schema allows you to build
your own custom applications to manipulate MailMax
directly through the database. Click HERE
to download the database schema.
What is stored in the SQL database?
All configurations set in the MailMax Admin Tool
are stored in the SQL database. (ex. rules, users,
basic configuration settings, aliases, forwards,
etc.)
Are user emails stored in the SQL database?
No, user emails are stored in folders on your
hard drive.
EXAMPLE
Domain: MyDomain.com
User Mailbox: Bob
A folder labeled 'Bob' is created as a subdirectory
of a folder labeled 'MyDomain.com'.
Benefit: Gives you the flexibility
to integrate MailMax tightly with your own applications.
For example, this is perfect for users who want
to import a large number of users into MailMax
without having to enter every user by hand. |
